We believe that changing the way we produce and distribute food is fundamental to solving the world’s most pressing social and ecological problems.
At the heart of Bore Place lies a commitment to exploring better ways to produce food.
Both our dairy farm and vegetable garden are certified organic by the Soil Association, the certifying body for organic standards in the UK.
We believe that organic production of food leads to better quality, healthier food. We also believe that it has a direct impact on biodiversity and on improving the long-term ecology of Bore Place and the wider countryside. Plant, insect and bird life is up to 50% greater on organic farms.
Bore Place Produce is made by small producers who share our values.
We pay our suppliers at least 50% of the retail value for any products we buy in, and when dealing with wholesalers, we check to make sure they pay fair prices to their growers.
Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
It is a movement I believe in with values that I respect, that connects People to an Environment of Amazing Food and Purpose.
